**THE OPPORTUNITY**
Reporting to the HR Services Manager, the Payroll Officer will assume full responsibility for an outsourced Australian payroll of circa 160 employees as well as a small New Zealand payroll which is processed in-house.
**POSITIVES**
The role will appeal to those who relish the responsibility that a standalone role brings but also could be the next step for an accomplished Senior Payroll Officer seeking to manage the end-to-end process on their own. The business utilises two of the most “in-demand” Payroll/T&A products in the market and will be not only upgrading the T&A but implementing new HRIS. The person the role reports to has been with the business for nearly seven years and stays because of the culture - which they describe as one of “mutual respect” where “everyone just gets along”.
**CHALLENGES**
Whilst there are great systems in use, and procedures to back them up, certain aspects of the payroll (like the weekly EBA pay run) are still a bit manual. There is also a small NZ payroll so you may have to put your learning hat on for that one unless you’ve done this previously.
