**The opportunity**:
Through designing, implementing and operationalising strategic initiatives, drive the enablement of our pivotal multi-year transformation of the Insurance for NSW General Lines scheme.

Accountable for overseeing the ongoing refinement, approvals, planning and successful delivery of multi-year initiatives for the General Lines Portfolio encompassing both organisational, technology and service delivery change initiatives.

Ensuring development and successful delivery of initiatives and remediation activities that ensure fair customer outcomes and the alignment to agency and participant expectations promoting scheme sustainability.

Lead and coordinate shared resources across the organisation and externally including those associated with planning, priority setting and initiative delivery within IfNSW.

It’s an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same; as a **Head of General Lines Transformation **you will:

- Act as business owner of the delivery of the General Lines strategic transformation - sponsoring key decision making committees, leading program teams, engaging internal stakeholders such as business-as-usual teams, representing the transformation internally and externally as required.
- Coordinate and facilitate the availability and support of resources within the business and across the enterprise through working with established teams and managing new engagements
- Provide advice and guidance on best practices related to service delivery to the Business Sponsors
- Facilitate the alignment of the transformation program within IfNSW and HBCF and lead discussion and debate on most effective approaches to achieve the objectives of the business
- Conducting assessments to identify gaps in operational service delivery and recommendations to fill those gaps
- In consultation with the Group Executive translate transformation needs into clear and measurable programs of work for the GL strategy
- Anticipate and assess changes which impact the business, considering emerging trends, and exercise judgement and make decisions
- Work with business leaders to ensure effective coordination between projects/programs and external stakeholders
- Monitor the implementation of initiatives and provide advice on actions to respond to issues relating to project risk, budget and resource management
- Oversee budget planning, coordination and monitoring, including tracking of benefit realisation from the GL strategy
- Work with the leadership team to build engagement processes that better enable delivery of the GL strategy and supporting initiatives. Schedule and arrange meetings with key stakeholders.
- Lead and/or contribute to projects and to support project objectives across IfNSW and HBCF and icare
- Coordinate the research and drafting of Board papers and other external papers that reflect the business operations and delivery of icare strategy and provide clarity on achievements to stakeholders
- Establish and maintain processes and systems to collect and analyse business performance information, analysing and interpreting information to identify current or emerging trends and issues, and provide advice or recommend improvements to systems and processes

**Your story so far**:

- Experience in working closely with PMO’s, acting as a Business Sponsor
- Strong in leadership skills
- Strong knowledge/experience within insurance product lines, including, medical malpractice and public liability
- Sound understanding of project management techniques
