The Head of Transformation is responsible for enabling Suncorp Group to transform into a leading Trans-Tasman General Insurer through the lens its long-term horizon strategy, growth and sustainability ambitions, modernisation of key technology platforms and other strategic imperatives. This role will lead the planning and execution of Suncorp group-wide transformation program, building a leading transformation capability that will drive accountability, foster and support organisational wide change operationally, commercially and culturally.

**What you’ll do**:

- Partnership with the business and group functions (including but not limited to PMO, Finance and People & Culture) to drive accountability in delivering transformational changes and achieving benefit realisation; work closely with others to influence and help accelerate change
- Establish Suncorp’s core transformation competency and capability to identify, plan and manage changes required to realise Board approved benefits successfully and sustainably
- Challenge current status quo thinking and independently identify and validate key sources of value (financial and non-financial)
- In partnership with the ELT, create an organisational mechanism to identify and develop program risk mitigations for key transformation initiatives
- Maintain an integrated view of the transformation program portfolio across the Suncorp Group and ensure the plan and approach remains strategically relevant and operationally achievable
- Identify and bring global best practice and community of practice to the Strategy & Transformation teams, Technology & Transformation business and wider Suncorp Group
- This role is not about taking/centralising accountability, instead you will seek to magnify accountability in the line functions. It is not a PMO but instead works closely with the PMO to deliver the amplification/challenge needed

**What you’ll bring**:

- Extensive experience in large scale, enterprise-wide Transformation, developing and driving strategic change across a large diverse workforce, in a turbulent corporate environment.
- 10+ years’ leadership experience; leadership and change management skills at Senior Executive levels (e.g. ELT)
- Comprehensive understanding of the financial services environment within Australia, insurance industry experience preferable
- Demonstrated superior influencing, negotiation consultation and planning skills, the ability to amplify accountability whilst challenging the business
- Exceptional interpersonal & stakeholder management skills
- Top tier management consulting experience preferred, ideally combined with corporate experience
- Tertiary qualification in Business - preferably in Business, Commerce, Information Systems, related disciplines (mandatory)
- MBA from leading business school desirable, or equivalent applied knowledge and capability
