**About the Team**

Reporting directly to the Director of Talent & Learning, the RTO Manager will initially be responsible for the overall project management of establishing Rheinmetall Defence Australia as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), in accordance with Australian Skills Quality Authority requirements.

This role is subsequently responsible for execution of ongoing operational requirements of an RTO in providing capably trained and qualified skillsets to deliver on the project needs of Rheinmetall Defence Australia.

- As the
- **RTO Manager** you can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include:

- Establishing RDA as an RTO in accordance with ASQA requirements;
- Achieve operational readiness to deliver on RTO ambitions, in order to execute upon successful achievement of RTO certificate of registration;
- Ensure overall compliance of the RTO with all relevant external bodies - including contract requirements, quality assurance, accreditation and legislative requirements;
- Ensuring currency with accredited training reporting & auditing requirements;
- Ensuring RTO capacity is able to deliver an output of skills requirements in accordance with planned RDA project needs;
- Review and continually improve the RTO activities, programs and service delivery, ensuring that it remains current and underpins effective operations and high levels of quality and service;
- Contribute to new business tenders (including State and Federal government funded offerings);
- Identify opportunities to create new business revenue streams within new and existing accounts, rolling out relevant training courses; and
- Manage risk through coordination of internal audits to ensure services are delivered in accordance with ASQA requirements, contractual obligations and RDA risk management and quality frameworks.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:
Essential:

- Significant project management experience within complex environments;
- Experience in RTO compliance and auditing;
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Training and Assessment (TAE);
- The ability to develop effective relationships with senior management and boarder employee network to develop and maintain trust and confidence, and act in a fair and impartial manner to achieve outcomes;
- Demonstrated organisational, project management and administrative skills including the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines;
- Ability to maintain composure, balance workload and conflicting priorities and effectively handle difficult situations; and
- Have the capacity to satisfy pre-employment screening.

Desirable:

- Tertiary qualifications in Training/Adult Education/Business or related discipline;
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Australian Skills Quality Authority, training packaging requirements and experience with government funded programs; and
- Knowledge of State & Federal Training funding.
