**Your main responsibilities**

Our client specializes in **upstream drilling and well servicing automation and innovation.** They supply electronic equipment such as sensors and other data gathering tools for **MWDs and directional drilling in oil and gas.** They also provide dashboards of the data and field personnel to the industry.

Within the role, you will maintain a high level of communication by providing proactive responses to issues relating to service levels to achieve, on time delivery, and escalation of solutions to maintain maximum efficiency. You will be calling on your previous operations and management experience whilst using the skills and techniques we will teach you to achieve our company objectives

**Duties and responsibilities**:

- Ensure that all operations are performed in a professional, efficient, safe and cost-effective manner to provide quality service to the client
- Monitor department's performance to ensure service quality standards are being maintained; identify any areas for improvement and discuss recommendations with Management
- Maintain close liaison with operational supervisors and coordinators to ensure full awareness of project progress and problems.
- Manage and lead the operations personnel ensuring adherence to standard procedures
- Ensure high quality service is continually provided to achieve both the project and client performance indicators
- Ensure that scheduling, planning and forecasting of the forward workload is regularly updated to ensure optimum use of resources
- Review operational requirement and business needs
- Ensure that all invoicing and variation are actioned in a timely manner and queries resolved as soon as possible
- Manage operational costs against budgets and targets and prepare action plans for management review
- Supervise direct reports to ensure all operational, delivery, safety, Quality Management and financial targets are met
- Maintain a safe working environment for all personnel
- Provide regular reports to senior management on operational performance, KPIs, and budge

**Your background**

To be successful for this role, you will essentially have ;
- In depth experience in Upstream Drilling and Well Services
- 10+ years' experience of operations management overseeing tasks such as budget oversight, operational efficiency and resource allocation
- Technical qualification in Upstream Oil & Gas
- Background knowledge of Directional Drilling or MWD/LWD technologies
- Familiar with latest requirements of API
- Ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Strong leadership and analytical skills
- Have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
