Due to continued expansion and advancement for employees within the business, they are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to implement and support their growth strategy.

**From an operational and delivery perspective, the Operations Manager will**:

- The key elements and functions for the role will include:
Detailed production forecasting. Generate and maintain production forecasts based on internal and external communications and historical averages.
- Leading the capability of component sourcing and purchasing. Operate an efficient purchasing team to ensure continued supply of component and materiel’s for product manufacture.
- Develop and maintain a functional strategy in line with the business strategy, purpose, aspirations and outcomes.
- Implement transparent, data driven reporting against objectives for each functional area and for production operations as a whole.
- Provide a summary of this data with commentary against operational performance in weekly management and operations meetings.
- Management of Production, Dispatch, Stock and warehouse areas.
- You will also contribute to the development of business strategy and objectives including the development of the production operations strategy.
- Lead, coach and develop a focused Operations Team, encourage and grow accountability and ownership.
- Develop and lead a culture of continuous improvement. Bring a focus of analysis, problem solving and solution development for CI activities.

**To be successful in this role you will have experience as an Operations Manager within a similar company. You will have experience across the following**:

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineer, Manufacturing Systems, Manufacturing Management or relevant engineering field, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Experience in a similar Operations/Manufacturing environment - electrical/electronic products, FMCG, Food Manufacturing, Automotive Manufacturing etc.
- Experience in the development of team skills within production department to meet business objectives.
- Experience within Lean based manufacturing environments, Lean methodologies/tools - KAIZEN, KANBAN, Six Sigma, Takt times analysis.
- Background in high performance team and individual development ensuring the teams are engaged, motivated and committed to continuous improvement.
- Exceptional Team Lead and management experience, ability to drive a sense of role ownership and accountability within a team environment.
- Experience in industries that are highly regulated - aerospace, defence, medical devices/technology, industrial safety electronics etc.
- Accuracy, attention to detail and completes tasks (a finisher).
- Self-driven with good time management and prioritisation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to successfully collaborate with technical and non-technical staff.
- Ability to work under pressure and time constraints.
