This publicly listed services provider is a dominant force globally and in sectors of the Australian financial services landscape with deep pedigree in the provision of sophisticated and integrated service offerings, especially around credit risk and debt services. The group wishes to capitalise on the success and position of the Australian operations by offering a broader suite of proprietary solutions that can be fulfilled across their global network. As a result, the Board is now wishing to appoint a Chief Executive Officer for Australian operations to turbo charge their march towards the achievement of ambitious growth and innovation goals set by the group.

Reporting to the international Board of Directors, your remit is to provide leadership for all aspects of the company’s Australian operations with an emphasis on long-term goals, growth, profit and return on investment. KRAs will include but not be limited to: development of strategic objectives and direction; implementation of proposed plans; budgeting and forecasting; PR; communication with the Board of Directors; tracking company performance; and establishing a working culture that fosters innovation, collaboration and competitive differentiation.

This will be a career-defining appointment for a well-seasoned financial services industry executive who is tech-savvy, understands the global business services market and can offer deep exposure to credit risk and debt domains. You are probably a divisional CEO/Commercial Director/CRO within a major BFSI entity looking for more autonomy and accompanying upside, or perhaps a BFSI practice lead in a large consulting house or SI looking to graduate to a fully-fledged CEO remit. You may even be head of an IT vendor or BPO supplying niche solutions to the credit risk and debt markets. In terms of personal attributes, you are a proven strategist; able to ‘see around corners’ in making choices about markets, customers and assets, embracing ambiguity, complexity and market dynamics at every turn. You also offer a proven ability to build “followership” in motivating large groups of people internal and external to the company via clear communication and the sense of purpose you instil in others to pursue the mission and agenda you set, all based on authenticity and infectious passion.
