**Important state-wide mental health service**:

- **Build on solid foundations and lead growth**:

- **Ensure the delivery of best care**

**About the organisation**
Forensicare is the state-wide specialist provider of forensic mental health services across Victoria. As the only agency in the state that provides clinical forensic mental health services tailored to, and spanning all components of, the mental health and criminal justice sectors, Forensicare has a unique perspective on mental health and public safety issues. With a primary focus on delivering clinical services within a recovery framework, Forensicare’s services include the effective assessment, treatment and management of forensic patients, prisoners and clients. In addition, Forensicare operates Australasia's leading centre of excellence in forensic mental health and behavioural science research through Swinburne University of Technology.

Reporting to, and working in close collaboration with, the Board, the Chief Executive Officer will provide strategic and operational leadership to cement Forensicare’s reputation as a comprehensive, integrated and best-practice forensic mental health service. This includes ensuring Forensicare is ideally positioned to support the anticipated doubling in size of the organisation over the next few years, further embedding the model of care, overseeing the successful landmark Thomas Embling Hospital redevelopment project, and leading transformation linked to the recommendations from the Royal Commission into Victoria's Mental Health System.
