**About the role**
As part of the Banksmeadow Customer Service team, this role reports to the Commercial Manager and liaises with internal and external stakeholders to provide seamless and client-focused solutions to support the achievement of business objectives.
**What you will be doing**
- Manage shipping, customer, Bollore network offices documentation formalities
- Ensure customer details and client profiles are maintained and up to date
- Order follow-up and maintenance of Order reports for customers
- Ensure proper and timely billing/closing of all job files, issuance of credit notes and internal expense reports at the end of each month
- Manage job file creation, costing and other data entries
- Coordinate dispatch of shipping documents to customers and Bollore network offices
- Arrange bookings with carriers / co-loaders and execute all pertinent shipping documents
- Coordinate day-to-day operations and transactions for freight forwarding and other related activities
- Liaise with Bollore network offices and customers to obtain the best possible rates and services
- Handle customer rate & shipment queries
- Quote our customers and overseas offices at profitable levels
- Develop new business from existing clients at a profitable level
- Promote and develop of all facets of Bollore Logistics services
- Send timely pre-alerts and shipping advice to customers and Bollore network offices
- Assist with rate sourcing with various carriers for the destination, not in the service contract
- Liaise with operational and warehouse staff to ensure client requirements are up to par
- Liaise with management on the following:
- Implementing and maintaining client SOPs
- Customer details
- Servicing and developing existing accounts
- Accounts that are approaching or outside their agreed terms

Essential:
- Minimum three years of experience
- Proficient knowledge of all freight forwarding facets
- Strong sea freight experience
Desirable:
- Ability to communicate with all levels and various cultural backgrounds
- Ability to think laterally and find quick & practical solutions to problems
- Conflict resolution and diplomacy know-how
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to develop existing business
- Can respond to difficult circumstances under pressure
