**Principle Finance Officer**
A unique role offered by State Government based in Parramatta SQ close to public transport offers 6 months Principle Finance Officer contract that could lead to longer-term opportunities, this role is responsible for providing high quality, financial service within State Government.

**Your key responsibilities**:

- Prepare and generate reports, ensuring that requirements are met
- Ensure internal and external stakeholders are well informed of Financial Performance & Investments processes and comply with requirements
- Process expenses and revenues and ensure they are accurate, timely and compliant with legislative and departmental requirements
- Action outstanding items in a timely manner in accordance with legislative requirements
- Provide expert advice, communication to internal and external stakeholders on Financial Performance & Investments matters and services
- Contribute to the development and review of Finance policies and procedures with internal and external stakeholders in consultation with the Senior Manager/Manager and/or the Director of Financial Performance & Investments.
- Handle complex cases, complaints, escalations, technical issues and ad-hoc requests
- Implement Financial Performance & Investments processes to meet agreed benchmarks and service levels

**Preferred skills/qualities**:

- End-to-end corporate finance operation experience including month end - and YE
- Experience with financial statement preparation
- Experience with dealing with auditors
- Experience with budgeting + forecasting and treasury prime reporting is a bonus
- Efficient worker with limited guidance
- Can-do attitude
