**About the role**
- Develop and implement finance policies and accounting standards for NSW Government’s to ensure consistency in finance policy, protocols and reporting across divisions and compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Review budget performance and provide reporting and analysis specific to the team’s role in NSW Government’s end-to-end financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting functions, to understand and optimise the whole of NSW Government’s financial position.
- Undertake analysis and review of management reports and identify critical financial issues and risks in order to generate strategic insights that support the business to optimise its financial position, protocols, and internal processes.
- Provide high level expert advice to the I&A Executive Director and Directors, Chief Financial Officer, Director and/or Manager and liaise with key stakeholders on relevant financial matters to inform decision making, mitigate risk, and enable achievement of efficiency, savings targets and strategic outcomes.
- Design and implement strategies to educate relevant business areas to develop financial capability and improve confidence and accountability in financial business decision making, which promotes a consistent financial management approach across NSW Government.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including Executive Director, Directors, Senior managers, and service delivery divisions to exchange information, obtain cooperation and support and provide financial advice.

- Producing financial impact analysis for position change requests
- Maintaining PO and invoices tracker
- Month end close off and process accrual and general journals and reporting
- Receipting invoices and collecting approval
- Raising PO including uplifting PO and Contract as required

**About you**
- You will be CA/CPA qualified with financial accounting and/or SAP system accounting experience
- You will be a team player with strong communication skills at all levels.
- Previous experience within SAP is essential.
- You will be available for a 12 month contract position
- Have full rights to work in Australia for a full time position.
