The successful applicant will be based out of Leukaemia Foundations Cooper Plains Accommodation site, however they will be required to regularly travel to the Gold Coast region. In this role you will make a significant difference to people in the blood cancer community, working collaboratively with team members to deliver a tailored service to people living with blood cancer and their families. You will provide high level emotional support to people living with blood cancer, assist individuals with their needs and provide advice on how to navigate the health and other associated systems. **Criteria required to successfully perform this role includes**: In addition to the relevant tertiary level qualification, we are looking for the following: - Proven experience working with haematology/oncology patients or other chronic conditions - Sound practical understanding of the Australian health care system. - Strong interpersonal skills; communicating effectively with health professionals and members of the community. - Ability to build and maintain professional relationships and working effectively within a team. - Sound computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel, databases and a sound knowledge of internet practice - A current driver’s licence and access to own vehicle needed (travel reimbursement available) - AHPRA qualification or equivalent highly desirable **We Offer**: - Salary including generous salary packaging up to $15,900 - Meal and entertainment salary packaging card $2,650 - Ongoing training and development - A collaborative, innovative and supportive team culture - Social and well-being activities - Employee Assistance Program **To apply**: LEA123 - Job Classification- Jobs Classification -> Medical Doctors -> General Medicine / Specialist -> Haematology- Job Location (Area or Region)- Job Location ( Area or Region ) -> Australia -> QLD- Job Type- Job Type -> Permanent -> Full Time- Business Type- Private Practice- Job Title- Blood Cancer Support Coordinator
