**Location**: Werribee based with potential for a hybrid work arrangement. This role may be required to work across multiple locations throughout the Wyndham Municipality
**About the role**
The Arts Support Officer role sits in the Planning and Liveability Directorate, in the Arts, Culture and Events unit. The role reports to the Arts and Culture Team Leader and works to support the areas of Public Art, Wyndham Art Gallery and Public Programs.
The Arts Support Officer works directly to:
- Provide administrative and technical support to the Arts & Culture team in the development and delivery of arts programs, projects and events.
- Plan and deliver the Arts & Culture Teams marketing activities including advertising, direct marketing, publicity, online and e-marketing and social engagement.
- Assist the growth of Wyndham City’s reputation as a place for enjoyment of high quality, accessible arts and cultural activities, events and installations to grow local artist and audience participation levels.
**What your day will look like**
- Assist Arts & Culture team with the delivery of arts initiatives across Council’s programs, projects, events and venues.
- Support community arts project, event and exhibition logistics and delivery as required and directed by Arts & Culture team.
- Develop and execute communications and marketing plans across range of mediums (digital and print)
- Support evaluation and reporting across the team including qualitative and quantitative data collection.
- Assist Arts & Culture team with administrative and operational tasks as requested.
- Assist local artists and volunteers participate in event and project delivery.
- Maintain logistic and risk management processes of arts projects, assets and events.
- Carry out other duties commensurate with skills and abilities as deemed reasonable and appropriate to the role as directed from time to time.
**What you will bring**
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or advanced diploma in the creative arts, arts management or administration or lesser qualification with demonstrated skills and experience in technical production and project and/or arts event management.
- Skills and experience in delivering marketing activities and initiatives.
- Experience with logistic and technical aspects of cultural event/project delivery.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
- Flexibility in working hours as some after hours work will be required.
