**Full Job Description**

Purchasing Officer required for leading ASX top 50 company on a contract basis for 3 months, FIFO on an 8:6 roster.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage and control procurement activities ensuring timely and cost-effective supply deliveries;
- Ensure all materials are ordered (and received) according to specification;
- Maintain strict control over inventory levels to meet all demands and to achieve company deliverables;
- Engagement with a variety of suppliers to ensure appropriate stock management to fulfil demand, review supplier invoices to ensure accuracy and receipt goods in a timely manner;
- Identify cost-competitive and reliable supplies of materials;
- Expedite supply to site;
- Ensure correct costing of materials;
- Resolve disputes between site and suppliers on supply and specification problems;
- Establish and maintain supplier relationships.

**Key skills, knowledge and experience required**:

- Experience in using ERP systems - Pronto
- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a Purchasing Officer function
- Experience with forecasting and projection reporting
- Proven experience liaising with multiple stakeholders within a large organisation, including both internal and external stakeholders.
