Our client is a leading player in the mining industry, committed to excellence, innovation, and sustainability. With a strong track record of success, we are seeking dynamic and talented individuals to join their team as Purchasing Officer for a 12-month fixed term contract.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Execute transactional purchasing activities in alignment with company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide timely solutions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate records of transactions and contribute to the improvement of purchasing processes.
- Actively engage in cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.

**Skills and Experience**:

- Previous experience in a purchasing role, preferably within the mining industry.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to negotiate and manage vendor relationships effectively.
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is highly desirable.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and think on your feet.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record of delivering results in a transactional purchasing role.
