Nationally renowned Facility Management Organization based in Burswood are seeking an experienced and driven Purchasing Officer to join their team for a 4 - 6 month assignment with the possibility of extension

Our client, a Nationally renowned Facility Management Organization based in Burswood are seeking an experienced and driven Purchasing Officer to join their team for a 6 month assignment

Working hours: Monday - Friday - Full time hours (7am - 3pm or 9am - 5pm shifts)

Pay rate: Approx. $38ph - $40ph + Super

Duration: 6 months - potential to extend depending on business needs

Start date: ASAP (within the next week)

Parking: Paid street parking around the building or free parking (8 - 10 minute walk away)

**The Role**

Some of the key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Raising high volumes of Purchase Requisition / Purchase Orders
- Ensure all purchase requests have been approved at the appropriate financial delegation level
- Regular stock takes and receipt of inventory
- Continued communication with workshop personnel and internal stakeholders to maintain strong working relationships and uninterrupted supply of goods
- Data entry and maintenance of vendor spreadsheets and filing systems
- Working closely with the wider Procurement team to identify any gaps in processes or areas for improved service.

**Experience Required**
- Must have a strong understanding of purchasing, inventory and invoicing processes
- Exposure to Purchasing within the construction industry - desirable but not mandatory
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to multitask
- Ability to manage a high volume workload and remain calm under pressure
- Proactive and organised with the ability to learn quickly - will be required to learn to navigate in house systems
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office
