The **Macmahon WAC Head Office** is located near Perth International Airport, T2.The Macmahon office is an award winning facility with a large, recently upgraded on-site gym, free secure undercover parking and electric vehicle charging stations. The WAC Head Office hosts Macmahon’s centralised support services and operates as the center of gravity for the wider Australian business.

Macmahon has an exciting opportunity for an experienced **Purchasing Officer** to join our Perth-based Supply Team. Reporting to the Purchasing Supervisor, this role is responsible for in facilitating efficient purchasing of materials, supplies, services and equipment. You will work within a team of highly experienced Purchasing and Procurement Officers, who are focused on providing cost savings to the business and creating shareholder value. You will enjoy being analytical and savings focused whilst supporting a variety of sites.

This role will be for a fixed-term contract of 6 months with the possibility of temp to perm.

**About you**
- Demonstrated experience with ERP systems and SAP 4Hana operating system
- High level of attention to detail
- Ability to negotiate/conflict resolution (internal and external)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytic skills
- Strong commercial acumen
- 5 years plus experience in procurement and supply chain management in the Mining & Construction Industry

As a part of the recruitment process for this role you are required to complete a pre-employment medical, inclusive of drug and alcohol screening and completion of criminal history and qualification checks. Additionally, you will be required to provide proof of working rights in Australia, i.e. a copy of your valid Australian passport, birth certificate, citizenship certificate or current visa grant notification.
