**The Role**

We are looking for someone who has a love of HR, enjoys advising on HR matters and having multiple projects on the go. You will report to our Global VP of HR who is based in New York, and be supported by and support our global HR team who are also based in our New York office.
- Managing the daily human resources function for the Australian business
- Implementing and developing policies, processes, and procedures to ensure employees safety and compliance
- Executing projects and activities as directed by the Global VP of HR
- Supporting the management team with HR related questions and matters, and providing sound advice and guidance
- Assisting and supporting managers on performance related issues
- Developing a thorough understanding of the business and building positive working relationships with stakeholders
- Assisting in the development and delivery of management and employee HR training
- Keeping abreast of relevant legal, IR and other regulatory requirements, and updating the business as necessary
- Other HR related ad hoc projects and tasks as required
- Previous experience working as HR Generalist/Coordinator/Manager
- Knowledgeable of general human resources policies and procedures
- Ability to develop and manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
- Working knowledge of Australian industrial relations legislation - it is not expected that you have an in-depth knowledge, however you will know the IR framework and where to research if you are unsure
- Experience providing advice and guidance to managers on HR matters
- Proactive attitude and ability to use your initiative
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritize, juggle multiple tasks and meet short deadline, often with limited guidance
- Able to creatively solve problems
- Professional demeanour and presentation, positive attitude, and a strong work ethic
- Proficient in MS-Office programs, specifically Microsoft Excel and Word
