**Your new role**:
As a member of a HR team of 4, you will deliver advice and support to people managers and employees on a range of Human Resources disciplines and initiatives including talent acquisition, performance management and building people capability across the business.
This Melbourne based generalist role offers good scope for growth and requires a balance between operational HR tasks, and strategic goals, working closely with the payroll team.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- End to end talent acquisition from vacancy approval through to advertising, employment agreement issue, orientation, on-boarding and probation management
- Manage the separation process including exit interviews
- Work with and coach people managers to resolve performance, disciplinary and grievance matters
- Support the business on employee relations
- Manage the administration area of workers’ compensation and return to work coordinator
- Contribute to global people capability projects
- Deliver HR projects which might include the annual salary review, new or updated policies and the staff review process
- Scope to contribute in relation to HR matters from overseas entities
**What we’re looking for**:
To be successful in this role you will already have prior experience in a similar role together with:
- 2 to 4 years generalist HR experience
- Excellent knowledge of HR best practices, Australian employment legislation and modern awards
- Proven organisational and prioritising abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously and sound decision-making skills
