**About The Role**
We are currently seeking an experienced, hands-on Sales Manager with a strong customer service and account management background. This is an early-stage growth role, where you will share in the vision and roadmap of development of the company. This is a key relationship building role that manages and builds a portfolio of some of Australia’s biggest Sports clubs and commercial partners. You will demonstrate a high level of commercial and stakeholder acumen, focusing on delivering exceptional client service and outcomes. You will be responsible for developing new business opportunities through proven sales experience and growing and leading the sales team.
This would be an exciting role for an individual with a strong sales background to build the business up through business development practices, networking, and proactive sales initiatives. As the Sales Manager, you will initially split your time between growing the sales team and being personally active in the field pursuing new sales opportunities. You will be expected to have an active sales role on an ongoing basis. However, as the sales team grows, a greater amount of time will be focused on leading and coaching the team. This is a permanent full-time position.
**As the Sales Manager, you will**:
- Your customers / members will be at the forefront of your attention, together with your team you will provide amazing customer service to ensure your customers have an amazing experience at Acrux.
- Achieving sales KPIs in line with targets and budgets
- Reach out into the community and work with local sports clubs, schools, businesses to develop partnerships.
- Manage existing accounts and expand customer base in territory, developing long-term profitable accounts.
- Directing strategies to ensure that most sales leads that have been generated are converted.
- Timely and accurate delivery of contractual entitlements which meet or exceed client expectations, with the objective of customer retention and/or growth in revenue
- Establish, build, and maintain strong, productive client relationships through face-to-face and telephone sales calls to agreed service standards
- Directing the development and implementation of strategies that would maximise lead generation in your market
- Assist in developing and implementing growth strategies and plans, by identifying and mapping business strengths and client needs
- Identify, facilitate, and report on business-to-business opportunities to diversify and establish commercial opportunities for future
- Help build a talent pipeline for future expansion; you recruit team members who are better than you are.
- Develop expert product knowledge for yourself and your team to address client needs, and provide specialist advice on the products and services being offered
- Ensuring a proactive approach to stock management
- Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasts, and report on conversion rates
- Ensure the sales team maintains a pipeline of opportunities to meet sales targets
- Mentor and train the sales team to improve performance, minimise turnover and provide on the job support
- Be ready to travel interstate (to both metropolitan and regional areas) if required
