About our client
Our client is a large APAC retail / consumer industries organisation, an ASX 200 company, who is going through a huge amount of growth and transformation as they set themselves up for their future state. One of their key objectives is setting up their talent and attraction business unit and with that comes an exciting new Head of Talent role.
They have more than 5000 employees and are growing, with multiple well-known brands under the one umbrella, customer centric in everything that they do and as the Head of Talent you and your team of initially 5 and growing, will lead the corporate, store, volume and specialist recruitment for all the brands based locally and in time overseas.
About the Role
This role will be accountable for ensuring the successful implementation of the new chosen technology platform for TA as well as the build of the talent function. As the function and centralised talent capability matures, the position will be accountable for their talent acquisition strategy that enhances their brands and delivers to their diversity and inclusion goals.
**Key responsibilities include but are not limited to**:
Leading the development of the centralised talent function alongside external partners, the Transformation Project Lead and Chief People & Culture Officer
Leading the rollout of the chosen Recruitment Tech platform through the training, coaching and support of hiring managers
Working with the internal communications team to develop a change and communications plan
Working closely with the P&C team to communicate and advocate the people strategy to the business as a foundation for their people plans and strategies
Supporting the delivery of the workforce plan, including a focus on ensuring the businesses attract and recruit required talent, and coaching and developing line manager capability
Planning and assisting in the management of actively priming the talent pipeline to prepare for internal talent shortages
Delivering and supporting the provision of toolkits for robust talent acquisition processes, including contemporary practices, guides, and advice/ practical assistance on the acquisition of key roles within the businesses
Developing and refining strategies that align to strategic measures and targets, particularly in relation to diversity and inclusion
Developing and leading the businesses ‘go to market’ position to attract talent
Working with segment and business unit marketing teams for both brand awareness and attraction strategies
With the broader P&C team, link the effectiveness of EVP strategies to key people and diversity metrics
About you
Key to your success, is demonstrable experience as an experienced Talent leader, with a track record of implementing and building a TA function within a multi-brand retail, trade, FMCG or consumer environment. Experience of recruitment tech implementation would be beneficial but not essential, but experience of working within a change and transformation related project within TA would be key, as well as strong generalist recruitment and HR knowledge.
You have a hand-on style, with excellent communication and presentation skills, with a coaching and mentoring approach, able to influence and negotiate across all levels internally and externally to get things done. You have excellent attention to detail, are commercially savvy, able to build relationships across the business with a problem solving and analytical mentality, with best practice TA processes front of mind in all you and your team do.
