This is a chance to be part of the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW, supporting in our Sydney Royal Competitions for the 2025 Sydney Royal Easter Show. We are currently looking for an Events and Administration Assistant to join our vibrant, committed team in delivering one of the Australia’s largest annual events, engaging with exhibitors, patrons, and the wider community.

**Position Purpose**

As an Events and Administration Assistant, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Sydney Royal Competitions. You will work closely with the Events Manager and contribute to a wide range of tasks that are integral to the event's success. This contract role will run from early January through to the end of April 2025, including pre-Show, Show, and post-Show periods.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide outstanding customer service by managing and addressing Exhibitor concerns promptly.
- Perform office administration, including word processing, organising invitations, maintaining spreadsheets, updating presentations, and proofreading Competition materials.
- Handle data entry for awards, sales, and exhibitor records, and ensure timely notifications.
- Respond to enquiries, escalating or redirecting issues as needed.
- Assist in physical tasks related to event setup and teardown.
- Liaise with key Stakeholders, including board members, exhibitors, competition officials, sponsors and trades
- Provide support to the Events Manager and the team to ensure effective event delivery.

**What we’re looking for**
- ** Qualifications**: Relevant experience or qualification in administration, event management, or hospitality is preferred.
- ** Experience**: Background in events, administration, or hospitality, with proven multitasking, customer service, and cash handling skills.
- ** Skills**: Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to thrive under pressure.
