Founded in 1886, Camberwell Grammar School is an independent Anglican boys’ school from Pre-Prepatory to Year 12. The school is dedicated to educating young men for life and bringing together the strength of traditions with an understanding of future demands.

Philanthropy will enable Camberwell Grammar School to redevelop and enhance facilities, provide programs and activities to improve student and families’ experience, fund scholarships, and continue to provide an outstanding education for students.

In collaboration with the Head of Community and Development, the Philanthropy Manager will manage the day-to-day operations of the philanthropy and fundraising focus of the School. They will provide strategic support and lead operational delivery, including fundraising activities, and actively manage a portfolio of prospective and current donors. Building on established foundational programs, this dynamic role will manage all elements of the School’s philanthropic campaigns, including reporting, administration, campaign communications, lead identification and stakeholder engagement. The Philanthropy Manager will provide critical guidance to the solicitation and stewardship activities in support of the School’s fundraising goals and priorities.

You will have:

- A proven track record in identifying, soliciting, closing and stewarding fundraising targets
- An understanding of the nature of philanthropy across a range of income streams such as trusts and foundations, major donors, individual giving, bequests and capital campaigns
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills to build and maintain a strong sense of authentic collaboration across the wider team and achieve long standing and trusted relationships throughout the School community
- A positive attitude and genuine commitment to Camberwell Grammar School’s ethos and values
- A goal-oriented approach and creative mindset -(Experience in fundraising within an educational setting is highly desirable)
