**The Role**
The Aerodromes Certification and Engineering Manager (ACEM) assists the Chief Aerodromes Engineer in maintaining RAAF Aerodrome Certifications in accordance with DASR.139 regulation.
The ACEM will be accountable for organising their workflow and making independent decisions to ensure all Defence Certified Aerodromes remain compliant with their respective certification standards.
They will liaise with internal and external agencies such as DASA, SEG and Defence Contractors, on Aerodrome certification requirements. They will identify, report and track progress of aerodrome certifications and the impacts on Defence aerodrome capability. They will support the Aerodrome Managers and Base Aerodrome Engineering Officers in matters relating to DASR.139 certification basis.
The APS6 Aerodromes Certification and Engineering Manager may be required to engage and communicate with stakeholders to identify, respond and provide advice on issues to achieve work unit and Defence outcomes.
They will be accountable to contribute towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development.

The airbase operations team assists with delivering capabilities critical to our National Defence, by providing certified Defence aerodromes that are well maintained and support safe flight operations across Australia.
We deliver a range of functions to satisfy the Aerodrome Operator Regulations, assuring appropriate maintenance processes are followed by suitably qualified, competent and authorised individuals and/or organisations.
