The Animal Referral Hospital is one of Australia’s leading veterinary specialist hospitals, offering 24 hour emergency and critical care, specialists in surgery, internal medicine and ECC, On-site MRI, CT, endoscopy, ultrasound, blood gas analysis, advanced patient ventilation and more.

We are seeking an experienced veterinary nurse who possess a friendly and professional disposition, has excellent communication, organisation and time management skills and passion for achieving great patient outcomes. We believe in caring for the pets that present to us, as well as caring for the families that bring them to us.

On-the
- job training will be provided with ongoing support however applicants must possess the ability to work unsupervised as well as demonstrate reasonable proficiency in phone triage, emergency assessment of cases when they first present, ability to take a TPR and assessing triage levels, co-ordinate our veterinary and nursing teams consulting schedules, excellent telephone skills.

Essential attributes
- Fully Completed Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing
- Minimum 3 year’s experience as a veterinary nurse, preferably in ECC, Emergency or Specialist Practice, but applicants with a strong GP background will also be considered.
- Excellence in professionalism and communication under pressure
- Caring, empathetic attitude
