Medical Receptionist

Strathmore Family Medical Centre have been providing healthcare to Strathmore, Essendon and surrounding suburbs for over 40 years.

We are looking for an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our team that is available to work Monday to Friday and must be flexible to cover annual leave and sick leave as required.

Your role will be to support the daily operation of our practice and support to our practice manager. The responsibilities will include front desk duties

Are you passionate about providing exceptional patient care and administrative support? We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Medical Receptionist/Phone Handler to join our dynamic healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet patients with a warm and welcoming demeanor
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently
• Answer telephone calls and address inquiries with professionalism and accuracy
• Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality
• Assist with billing and insurance verification processes
• Managing emails
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure seamless operations
• 3 to 5 shifts per week

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a medical clinic setting required with phone handling experience(1+ years)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
• Proficiency in basic computer applications
• Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus
