We are looking for someone who will thrive off a busy environment, has a substantial and authentic passion for a curated wine program, understands the simple perfection of a classic cocktail and appreciates the best tartare in town (in our humble opinion), someone who is a natural within hospitality and is passionate about providing the unparalleled customer service experience.

Who we are looking for:
To be well equipped for success within Bar Margaux we will provide all the leadership and support from the Venue Manager and Senior Leadership Team, however, the successful Assistant Venue Manager will need more than a few French tricks up their sleeve:

- An inspirational and service based hands-on leader to nurture and drive an aspirational and growing team with the ability to positively impact the venue's culture.
- You must be someone who is able to embody our ethos: People Before Drink.
- Have a strong wine background in both developing lists and inspiring, coaching and refining the wine knowledge of the team.
- Experienced in all facets of venue operations including menu costing, stock control and labour management.
- A talent for multi-tasking and problem solving - having a solutions based approach to the role.
- Communication is essential to be successful within this venue - you will need to be confident, organised, and thoughtful within your communication style.
- A strong work ethic - knowing what it takes to be an all round hospitality professional, both inside and outside the venue, with the drive to becoming an influential figure within the Made in The Shade Group and the industry.
- We want you to have that creative soul that's craving excellence and can inspire those around you. You will need to have the skills and ability to effectively build and develop relationships, with the front of house and back of house teams, able to manage performance on a day to day basis whilst promoting a friendly, respectful, positive and approachable attitude.
- Time to talk experience - A minimum 4 years in the hospitality industry with 2 years as an assistant venue manager with a depth of wine knowledge in a similar style venue is required for this role.

In order to succeed we believe in providing training opportunities to our team. The Assistant Venue Manager will report to and work closely with the Venue Manager and Group Venue Operations Manager for professional development and support. The role will be further supported by the Group Bars Manager and the entire Made in the Shade Senior Leadership team, as well as additional internal and external resources to assist in growth and success both personally and for the venue.
