About the role

Are you an experienced Venue Manager looking for an exciting new challenge? Arthur's Milk Bar Cafe' in Kew, is seeking a full-time Venue Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our vibrant community based cafe. As Venue Manager, you will be responsible for creating an exceptional customer experience and leading a passionate team of hospitality individuals.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage all front-of-house and back-of-house operations to ensure efficient, high-quality service
  • Roster and supervise our incredible team, providing training and support to help them develop their skills
  • Implement effective inventory management and cost control procedures
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and licensing regulations
  • Drive sales and profitability through effective marketing and promotions
  • Foster a positive, customer-focused culture and lead by example
  • Collaborate with our Head Chef to curate an enticing menu and dining experience
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to optimise business performance

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience as a Venue Manager or Assistant Manager in a similar hospitality setting
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong leadership abilities and the capacity to motivate and develop a team
  • Proficient in inventory management, financial reporting and cost control
  • Knowledge of food safety, and other relevant hospitality regulations
  • Availability to work on weekends
  • Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to creating memorable dining experiences
  • Knowledge of onboarding new staff efficiently and effectively
