**About the role**

As Stakeholder Officer, you will be part of the IED Stakeholder Management team and will be responsible for stakeholder engagement for a portfolio of capital delivery works. Your main focus will be on managing the coordination of Infrastructure and Environment Department’s stakeholder management activities, to ensure the successful implementation of Council infrastructure delivery and associated works.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

- deliver key stakeholder management activities including the implementation of stakeholder engagement and communication initiatives
- work with and provide support and advice to staff within the Department to achieve stakeholder management and project communication goals
- assist with stakeholder identification and analysis of stakeholder groups and communication vehicles to effectively standardise communication efforts
- assist in the coordination and delivery of communication materials from the Department and Council using a variety of communication channels
- actively supporting Department staff with active engagement with stakeholders at open forums and face to face opportunities such as community information sessions, door knocks or on-site issues resolution meetings

**About you**

To be successful in this role you will have:

- extensive experience in the implementation of communication and stakeholder engagement strategies
- a proven track record of success in developing and managing positive client and stakeholder relationships
- excellent communication and consultation skills, together with the ability to influence others to deliver quality services to clients and stakeholders
- substantial research, analytical and problem-solving skills
- substantial skills in managing time, working autonomously, and setting priorities
- demonstrated knowledge and understanding of stakeholder management within the construction, engineering and/or civil infrastructure sectors, or a dynamic project-oriented environment within Local Government

This is a permanent, Level 6-7 role with a salary package commencing at $93,849 to $109,474 commensurate with the level of experience, under the Queensland Local Government Industrial Award, plus superannuation of up to 12%.
