Overview

The 3rd Line Infrastructure Analyst provides support for the institution's IT infrastructure, acting as a key escalation point for complex technical issues and ensuring the continuity of digital services across the organisation. Reporting to the Technical Infrastructure Manager, the post holder collaborates closely with both 1st and 2nd line, project and development teams to maintain and enhance service delivery.

Role details

Permanent, full time, 37 hours per week (1.0 FTE). Band 5 - £37,694 to £42,254 per annum, plus £5k market forces supplement.

Responsibilities
  • Provide 3rd line infrastructure support in a high-complexity environment, diagnosing and resolving incidents, and implementing service improvements.
  • Collaborate with 1st/2nd line, project and development teams to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable IT services.
  • Support both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure and contribute to cybersecurity posture through monitoring, patching, and incident response.
  • Act as a digital ambassador, delivering high quality technical support and guidance to stakeholders and staff.
