**About the role**
As Transport Infrastructure Officer you will be part of the Infrastructure Strategy team and will be responsible for managing and coordinating the identification and initial planning phase activities for transport infrastructure projects associated with Council’s capital works portfolio, to ensure the transport network is well planned, safe and efficient both for now and into the future.

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

- Co-ordinate and manage the Transport and Traffic sub-programs within the Capital Works Portfolio
- Annual development of the 3-year rolling program Capital Works Portfolio and ten-year investment strategy for transport infrastructure, including consideration of preferred project timing requirements and any Council endorsed timing commitments
- Plan and develop small, medium, and large-scale transport infrastructure project whilst carrying out the service owner role for transport infrastructure projects. This includes projects that are programmed, become urgent / emergent or are community initiated

**Highly Desirable**
- Bachelor's degree qualification in Engineering
- Relevant experience in the transport planning and traffic engineering profession some of which has bene in a local government environment
- Current Queensland C class driver’s licence

This is a permanent full-time role at a Level 6 - 7 with a salary package commencing at $97,134 plus superannuation of up to 12.25%.
