Our client has an extensive portfolio of venues and going through an exciting period of growth. They are now seeking an experienced assistant group operations manager to support the overall business operations including some of Melbourne's most loved restaurants and cafes.

**The role**:

- Assisting the group operations manager, you will lead FOH operations to ensure venues achieves revenue and operational targets whilst maintaining high standards of customer service and a positive team culture.
- In conjunction with the group operations manager and owner, review and set venues service standards, ensuring that the level of customer service is consistent and exceeds guest expectations.
- Take a proactive role in developing team through organizing product training and supplier hosted educational activities.
- Support the venue managers with managing, rostering, and developing the wider team.
- Stock management, ordering, coordinate deliveries and manage supplier relationships.
- Previous experience in a group or multifaceted venue.
- Proven ability in leading teams, effective delegation of duties and contribution to creating a positive workplace culture.
- Experience with stocktaking, ordering and wastage control.
- Motivated, forward-thinking and confident.

**Salary & benefits**:
