This very successful retail business with a proud and long-standing history in Australia enjoys positive results and continues to forecast strong growth across their diverse portfolio. Having grown through acquisition they are seeking to consolidate and build a platform and complementary people infrastructure to support and underpin first class HR service delivery.

Reporting to a GM HR who in turn reports to the Exec HRD, the
**Group HR Operations Manager** is a new role which will lead an existing team of approximately 20, in addition to developing and implementing the longer-term strategy for the HR Operations function.

With a focus on streamlining HR Operations, the emphasis for this role will be in leading the team, whilst stepping the function up, leading a range of technical and functional projects that streamline employee experience.

In this role you will be responsible for:

- Strong leadership of the HR Operations team - inspiring and embedding a continuous improvement mindset.
- Development and delivery of an HR Operations roadmap to transition current state to a centralised and standard operating model for the business.
- Identifying opportunities to create and contribute to efficiencies and improvements across the HR function and project management of key improvement projects.

Ideally you'll bring the following experience/attributes;
- Previous leadership experience, preferably of an HR shared services or operations function (inclusive of talent acquisition and payroll) and the capability to develop strong engagement with a large and diverse team.
- Experience within complex HR environments and familiarity with diverse and geographically dispersed workforces. Experience in the retail sector is ideal but not required.
- Exceptional project management discipline with expertise in reviewing systems, processes, re-engineering and defining change plans.
- Strategic presence and the capability to drive accountability and work collaboratively with a broad team and business, at pace.
