An exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Officer to work within a WA State Government department.

**Your new company**
We have partnered with a significant government department client to assist in their search for a Finance Officer. Reporting into the claims coordinator and working in a large team environment, the role will focus on reviewing and approving expenditure and ensure accurate processing of claims.
The role is based in the southern suburbs and is a 3 month temporary assignment with extension possibilities. Ideally you will be immediately available and ready to start as soon as possible.

**Your new role**
As a Finance Officer, you will be assisting the recovery claims team and your responsibilities will include:

- Review and approve eligible expenditure, ensuring accurate and timely processing of claims
- Liaise with stakeholders in relation to reimbursement of claims.
- Coordinate requests and prepare financial reports
- Report all health and safety hazards, near misses and injuries.
- Undertake other duties as required.

**What you'll need to succeed**
Previous experience in financial operations is essential, as is:

- Sound communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable and grants/claims processing
- Analytical, problem solving and organisation skills
