- We have an opportunity for an Environmental Officer to support our SRAPC contract in managing environmental risk through partnership with our delivery and maintenance teams.- You will identify environmental risks in the planning stages of tactical project and maintenance activities and development of environmental approvals. Assis project and maintenance teams and contractors in development of environmental site documentation and training in environmental requirements and awareness. Monitor environmental performance of projects and maintenance activities and managing and investigating environmental incidents.**Responsibilities**:

- Protect adjacent communities and maintain the environmental value of surrounding places through effective management of environmental impacts such as noise, vibration, dust and visual amenity.
- Work with the community engagement team to inform communications and notifications
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with client counterparts and external regulatory bodies.
- Work with delivery and maintenance teams to ensure environmental controls are planned and implemented on site in line with the Activity Specific Environmental Controls.
- Championing sustainable practices within SRAPC to support achievement of ISCA ratings, working with asset, planning and delivery teams to incorporate sustainability in projects and maintenance activities.
- Identification and communication of environmental risks in early planning stage of project delivery.
- Development and review of environmental assessments and relevant environmental permits.
- Review of construction environmental management plans (CEMPs) for projects.
- Implement or support environmental awareness training. Attend and contribute to project risk workshops, lessons learnt and company or project level as required.**About You**:

- Prior experience to environmental monitoring.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and or demonstrated experience within the environmental field.
- Well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Prior exposure to environmental risk and planning within projects and maintenance activities.
- Demonstrated experience conducting environmental inspections, incident investigation and implementation of corrective actions.
