MinRes has come a long way - but we’re really just getting started. **About the role** For this position you will be responsible maintaining our Exploration and project operations, providing technical advice for our environmental management across our exploration projects and our MinRes care and maintenance sites. You will play a critical role in ensuring timely approvals, compliance, rehabilitation and closeout to support our MinRes exploration program whilst maintain legal compliance for our care and maintenance sites. Our Environmental team has grown substantially offering long-term career progression opportunities. for this position you will have the benefit located at our new state of the art Head Office in Osborne Park, which is set to be the best office facility in Australia. **In this position you will**: - Maintaining legal and obligation registered relevant to the Exploration portfolio - Support and facilitate environmental training, inspections, auditing - Facilitation of the site disturbance permit system, including any reviews, disturbance data tracking and reporting - Maintaining oversight of care and maintenance sites, ensuring legal obligations and reporting commitments are met - Liaising with the rehabilitation and exploration teams to ensure rehabilitation obligations are met - Assist in the development of business environmental standards and procedures - Support the functional teams by providing information and guidance on environmental aspects at an operational level. **Necessary skills and qualifications**: - Territory qualification in Environmental Science and/ or Environmental Management - High degree of familiarity with Mining Act and Environmental Protection Act - 5+ years’ experience as Environmental Adviser or in a similar role within industry consulting - Ability to liaise and influence at all levels of staff and management on site - Experience in preparing Mining Proposals, Mine Closure Plans, Part IV & V approvals, and Commonwealth approvals. - Strong computer skills, with exposure to ArcGIS or similar highly desirable - Sound understanding of operational mining environments **Flexibility and job security** MinRes employee’s value job security.
