Are you ready to contribute to the sustainable management of Western Australia's water resources? The Department of Water and Environmental Regulation (DWER) is looking for a skilled and motivated Natural Resource Management Officers to join our Approvals team in Victoria Park.
In this role, you'll assess water licence and permit applications under the Rights in Water and Irrigation Act 1914, ensuring they align with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures. You'll also support ongoing compliance by reviewing monitoring reports and helping licensees meet their regulatory obligations.
Your work will involve engaging with a wide range of stakeholders—including applicants, licensees, consultants, and community members—while providing clear technical advice and maintaining a strong customer service focus. You'll contribute to water resource management objectives through site visits, data analysis, and the preparation of reports and correspondence.
We're seeking someone with strong analytical and communication skills, a good understanding of environmental or water resource management, and the ability to manage competing priorities. Experience using relevant software systems and a commitment to equity, inclusion, and cultural responsiveness are essential.

A current WA 'C' class driver's licence and the ability to travel independently are required. A national police clearance will be conducted prior to appointment.
