This role will provide senior leadership to the development, direction and implementation of environmental and sustainability strategies for the Tyrecycle operations of the business.

You will have key responsibility in: *
- Implementing and supporting compliance operations whilst promoting continuous improvement
- Involvement in the Environment Quality & Safety (EQS) assurance program and assisting in the development of procedural documentation and reports
- Ensuring and educating on compliance with all conditions and requirements, as outlined in various State Government approvals
- Working and collaborating with management to develop planning, licensing and regulatory proposals and seek approvals for various operational sites
- Planning and managing ongoing environmental assessment, sampling, monitoring and auditing programs for all Tyrecycle sites
- Acting as a key representative and liaison for environmental matters associated with various levels of government, industry and the broader community
- Ensuring timely amendments and implementation of Tyrecycle policies and procedures to align with regulatory and/or state government guidelines or changes
- Lead environmental incident investigations with route case analysis methods and procedures
- Preparing and Implementing Incident Response Management Plan and Monitoring programs across all Tyrecycle Sites
- Review EPA licence/permit conditions and seek licence upgrades as required
**About you**:
- Tertiary (to Cert IV level) or Bachelor of Engineering within Environment, Science or Sustainability related discipline is required to be a successful candite for this role
- Experience in the project management of environmental management
- Experience implementing Environmental Management Systems ISO 14001 is highly desirable.
- Intermediate level computer skills in MS office suite.
- Ability to interpret licence conditions, waste analytical results and provide consultation to site staff and site management accordingly.
- Ability to travel within Australia as per business requirements (once per month or as per the job requirement).
Your positive communication skills and ability to maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders will see you succeed in this role, as will your strong negotiation and strong problem-solving skills including your ability to present effective environmental solutions will add further to your success.
