**The Company**:
Our client, a not-for-profit company, was established in order to deliver industry service functions on behalf of Growers and within the Australian grains supply chain. Its core functions are: to establish and maintain a grain variety classification system, to provide services that maintain and improve trade and market access, to develop long term market and consumer analysis and product awareness, to support longer term demand and value creation and to provide technical support and training to participants in the Australian grains industry and to its customers. Currently in a key phase of expansion, now is an exciting time to join the organisation.
**The Role**:
In this newly created role, the Council Coordination Manager, will be responsible for delivering the secretariat services for six separate councils in the grains sector. Reporting to the General Manager, Strategy & Communications and working closely with the CEO, you will lead and manage effective delivery of information flow between council members, between independent commodity councils, between councils and executive and multiple industry stakeholders. As a key influencer on the strategic direction of the various councils, you will be privy to key market insights and opportunities which, will in turn, be used to deliver value to both producers and the broader industry.
**The Person**:
We are keen to hear from you if you possess the following:
- Proven secretariat skills with an ability to present to synthesise complex information
- Proven capability to prioritise competing and complex strategic imperatives
- High levels of stakeholder engagement to engage with growers, industry organisations and the grains research community (ideally within an agricultural or scientific environment)
- An understanding of governance, as it applies to industry stakeholders, Board and Senior Management and/or Councils
- The ability to understand, relate to, and connect with industry participants
- Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
- Strong organisational and planning skills
