As a Workforce Planning Specialist, you will champion the engagement and development of the Workforce Planning Rostering system and provide proactive customer service and support to Team Leaders, while maintaining a focus on roster compliance within the guidelines of our legislative obligations.
In this role you will be responsible for supporting key stakeholders and working with leadership and People + Culture teams to ensure an integrated approach to solutions for our businesses.
**Key responsibilities**:
- In conjunction with Team Leaders develop, coordinate and assist in maintaining rosters for employees covered by the Flight Centre Agreement, General Retail Award, Clerical Award and other legislative instruments in line with contractual requirements
- Manage and prioritise individual workload in conjunction with supporting other team members to ensure a high level of customer support, compliance, and system reporting
- Deliver and analyse daily data reports to Workforce Planning Team, Team Leaders, Area Leaders and Payroll
- Optimise rostering practices while working with Leaders to implement effective roster patterns to match business requirements and minimise pay risk
- Drive a proactive to using data to identify areas for improvement in rostering and overtime usage
- Analyse contracted FTEs versus rostered shift with Team Leaders to ensure team members optimise rosters
- Develop and facilitate training sessions with Leaders to ensure roster compliance
- Ensure leaders understand obligations under the Flight Centre Agreement and other relevant Awards in regard to rostering and overtime provisions
**You’ll be perfect in this role if you have**:
- Minimum 12 months' experience in a rostering/workforce planning role
- Humanforce/TimeTarget systems experience is highly desirable
- Payroll experience desirable
- Strong focus on customer service responding to internal customer queries
- Strategic and effective communication skills in a multi-disciplinary/geographically dispersed environment
- Team focus approach to meeting deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong technical skills with a high level of accuracy
- Travel and tourism industry experience is a bonus
