The Workforce Planning Specialist reports to the Head of Workforce Planning and plays a key role in supporting the design and implementation of the workforce planning function. The role delivers high quality planning and forecasting data and trends to drive talent decision-making in the business and will primarily drive the development of a workforce strategy and plan for teachers in the delivery of a grant submission. With a focus on mid to long term planning horizons, efficiency, resource optimisation and continuous improvement, the Workforce Planning Specialist will provide expertise services to Centre Directors and State Teams to better understand and plan their workforce planning needs.

**Your Impact**:
Develop a five-year Workforce Plan that outlines the current workforce profile; provides a forecast profile over five-years; and includes analysis of gaps between the current and future profiles.
Provide the service to Centre Directors around roster reviews to identify labour/cost efficiency strategies to uplift state and centre team knowledge capability.
Work closely with key stakeholders, including talent acquisition and operational leaders, to develop workforce strategies required to meet workforce requirements now and in the future.
Conduct initial and ongoing workforce planning activities for new centre openings.
Partner with labour management and rostering teams to ensure alignment in current processes and policies with critical workforce planning objectives.
Understand a wide range of employee relations matters including industrial instruments, legislative frameworks and policy interpretation as they pertain to effective workforce management and planning.
Coach and support State/Centre Support Office Leadership forum members by building trusted partnerships to enhance and develop workforce planning capability.
Support the implementation of inclusion and workplace diversity initiatives aimed at improving access to employment for vulnerable workforce groups, as well as creation of future employee pathways and pipelines.

**You'll bring to the table**:
Excellent critical thinking to see the broad implication of decisions and use data to make effective judgements
Experience in workforce planning or related functions
Ability to support the implementation of critical workforce planning strategies and / or support change in a large organisation
Excellent communication and presentation skills; presents accurately and clearly in both verbal and written communications across a variety of formats
Advanced Skills in the use of Microsoft Excel and or Power BI to manage and manipulate employee and labour data
