As Marketing Manager, Brand & Acquisition - Metros you are strategic, data-focused and detail-oriented, able to juggle competing priorities and communicate complex information clearly to a wide range of stakeholders. You will be responsible for delivering on the brand and acquisition strategy across the Metros mastheads, driving the implementation and management of high impact campaigns that grow subscription revenue, deliver exceptional engagement and strengthen brand affinity.

You will achieve this through a deep understanding of consumer demand and brand insights, effective media planning, and best-in-class campaign management. You will develop, build and deliver a targeted customer marketing strategy through paid, owned and earned channels. And work closely with our external creative, digital and media agencies, our digital performance team, as well as your colleagues in the wider Marketing team, to deliver compelling and impactful campaigns.

This role is responsible for managing the brand and acquisition activity for the Metros brand portfolio, which includes; The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age and The Brisbane Times.

**Key Responsibilities include**:

- ** Strategy** - Support the Marketing Lead in the development of the annual brand & acquisition strategy for the metros portfolio in line with overarching business objectives. Leaning on customer insight, cultural context, emerging trends, and your strong understanding of our mastheads, you’ll champion an ambitious vision for the brands in market, delivering increased consumer relevance to drive readers through the funnel to conversion and grow brand equity.
- ** Campaign Management**:

- Develop the campaign strategy and manage the end-to-end delivery of these through paid, owned and earned media channels, ensuring activity is targeted, engaging and delivers to objectives across the funnel and is underpinned by data.
- ** Media Planning** - Manage and develop an effective, growth-focused media strategy, leveraging customer insight, best practice, and media planning principles across digital and traditional media. Working alongside the Marketing Lead, you’ll be responsible for managing effective spend across all channels, combining an always-on presence with opportunities to drive incremental impact and engagement with audiences.
- ** Agencies & Partnerships** - A natural collaborator, communicator and project manager, you are capable of building strong, long-term relationships with creative, media and research agencies. You will be experienced in driving large-scale campaigns with multiple agencies and teams, adept at delivering feedback and bringing world-class creative work to market under tight deadlines.
- ** Research & Insights**:

- Work closely with the Marketing Lead to develop the quarterly reporting and campaign measurement initiatives. You’ll actively leverage data and research to bring customer, brand and category insights together to shape brand strategy and identify opportunities to drive growth.
- ** Performance Reporting**:

- ** Collaboration**
- Work with the Audience & Acquisition team to deliver on the full funnel marketing strategy for the Metros brands, aligning on shared objectives to support growth through each stage of the customer journey.
- Work hand-in-hand with the Digital Performance team to identify strategic opportunities, leaning on their operational and technical expertise to implement best practice and experimentation initiatives.
- Build strong and open relationships with key internal stakeholders, including peers in the Retention & Engagement team to align on initiatives and objectives.
- ** Budget Management**:

- Support the Marketing Lead in the management of the Metros budget, ensuring timely processing of invoices, accurate data entry and spending in line with forecasts and agreed targets.

**Qualifications**:
**To be successful in this role you will need**:

- 5+ years experience in a full-funnel marketing role
- Experience developing strategies and executing best-in-class campaigns that deliver on commercial objectives
- Passion for brand with a sound understanding of brand-building principles and experience managing brand integrity across an organisation
