The Brand Manager for Dry Eye and Ocular Health has responsibility for the successful execution of approved marketing plans and through this, the achievement of sales and market share goals for the Dry Eye portfolio.

The Brand Manager is responsible for ensuring annual marketing budgets are adhered to and in ensuring activities are appropriately resourced and costed before implementation and for ensuring internal approval policies are adhered to.

The Brand Manager is accountable for contributing to the development and implementation of the Company’s marketing plans. This involves the preparation of a range of analytical information and informative documents and ensuring appropriate internal and external consultations have taken place within the Company.

Specific activities include:
- Facilitate the development and internal review of promotional and point of sale material for the product portfolio with internal and external stakeholders- Localisation of Global/International assets and campaigns as well as generate local specific materials- Develop technical expertise, conduct product training and create promotional materials and sales tools in alignment with global and regional marketing expectations.- Execution of tactical plans and communication of plans to sales staff via meetings, department meetings and via written and verbal communication.- Develop and assist in promotions at various trade shows, professional speaking events and customer training programs. Participation in local and national conferences in order to gain insight from customer, competitive insight and execution of marketing requirements.- Conduct customer surveys and market research to obtain market information about the organisation, department, dry eye products and services offered by the organisation. Identification of market trends in industry to facilitate the development of promotional and point of sale material comparing the product with key competitors- Implementation and management of media plans which includes liaising with agencies or publications directly to secure advertisements for publications. Preparation of advertising, media releases and editorial contribution or a variety of publications and support of customer specific promotions where necessary.- Monthly review of expenditure reporting and expense management of the product portfolio.- Monthly review of materials management forecasts to ensure appropriate inventory management to facilitate customer supply whilst ensuring appropriate financial management.- Management of a cross functional team to ensure execution of brand initiatives, response to customer needs and communication of needs for the brand across the organisation.- Management of the day to day activities of the product portfolio including efficient and effective response to internal and external customer needs and to the needs of suppliers.- Learn and be able to execute all required Alcon systems and process to enable the support and execution of brand plans and activity

Education- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Commerce or Science

Experience requirements- >3 years experience in marketing management positions within consumer health / pharmaceutical / med device regulated environment- Experience in both direct to consumer & healthcare professional marketing.- Prior experience in product launches.

Preferred:

- Strong technical/clinical understanding of the eye and ideally the ophthalmic Vision Care business.
