**The Role**
The Governance Officer, Health Strategy Office, works within a small team tasked with coordinating Joint Health Command's governance responsibilities including risk, business continuity, audit, performance reporting and business planning.

Exercising a considerable degree of independence, you will coordinate governance tasks to the broader Command. You will:

- Also use your highly developed analytical skills to monitor trends in performance and risk reporting, as well as reviewing and quality assuring documents.
- Exercise sound decision making and judgment to help facilitate good governance practice across Joint Health Command through the development of policy and advice.

**About our Team**
Joint Health Command (JHC) provides a joint health effect to enable Australian Defence Force (ADF) capability and care for our people. Through the delivery of best practice health services, JHC enables a healthy, ready and supported Force from enlistment through to transition. As part of Defence People Group, we make a direct contribution to the ADF's operational capability and provide crucial support to the warfighter.

The Governance Cell is a small team that supports the entire Command with both internal and external governance requirements. The team manages the governance framework as well as ensuring the Command meets it's enterprise reporting obligations.

Responsibilities include development and management of the JHC risk framework and risk register, management of the JHC audit program, development and sustainment of the JHC Business Continuity Plan, development of the JHC annual Business Plan, and JHC performance reporting.
