The role Reporting to the Manager, Prevention Strategy you will:

- Prepare and provide high level advice in the planning, implementing and evaluating skin cancer prevention policy and interventions in a range of settings.
- Identify, analyse, and convey complex ideas and information in relation to skin cancer prevention policy.
- Design, manage and report on the delivery of pop-up skin cancer screening clinics targeting priority population groups in Queensland.
- Work closely with and collaborating with key government and non-government stakeholders to support the state-wide delivery of the skin cancer prevention initiatives.
- Advocate for and deliver high level healthy public policies and services that promote and protect the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities considering population diversity and health inequality.
- Represent the Branch and the Department on key committees and at relevant regional and state forums as required.

**The successful personYou will have**:

- Demonstrated high level ability to critically analyse information and data and provide evidence-based advice.
- Shown high level planning and project management skills, including experience in the coordination, development, implementation and evaluation of state-wide health promotion interventions or initiatives.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to work as part of a high performing team.
- Proven flexibility in approach to work and working environment with willingness to participate in cross program initiative to address crucial issues.
- A tertiary degree in Public Health or Health Promotion is a mandatory requirement. (Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of duties).
