Melbourne, Australia Tandem Partners Full time

Well-known Australian household brand
- Partner a support centre team
- Part time, 2.5 days per week, hybrid working, Eastern suburbs office

Established in Melbourne almost forty years ago, the organisation is proud of its history, now with a network of over one hundred family owned and operated stores across Australia.

A key member of the executive leadership team and reporting to the CEO, the HR Manager is a greenfield, standalone role responsible for providing strategic and operational advice and support to the national support centre team and the People and Performance Board Committee, as well as to the franchise network as required.

In addition to the employee lifecycle activities, there are opportunities to work on strategic initiatives such as leveraging the strength of the consumer brand to build an employee value proposition, effective onboarding, managing the engagement survey and associated action planning, developing incentive plans, and scoping and implementing HR technology.

The organisation has a Board comprised of shareholder and independent Directors. This role will be participated in Board meetings as required and, on occasion, prepare Board papers for presentation. This role will also re-establish and chair the support centre’s WHS Committee.

To be successful in the role you will be tertiary qualified in a relevant discipline, experienced in a similar role or ready to step up into an HR leadership role, with a strong working knowledge and understanding of current best practice in HR and WHS. Demonstrated success in leading remuneration processes, building culture, and stakeholder management will be critical. Exposure to franchise or retail environments will be highly regarded, however optimism, drive, positive energy, and a results orientation will far outweigh industry experience. Ideally, you will work a half day each day of the week.
