The Lived Experience Programs Officer works through the Assistant Director Lived Experience and Community Strategy to the Director Lived Experience and Community Strategy.

**Duties**
- Coordinating and facilitating lived experience governance, workforce and consumer participation activities supporting the implementation of continuous program improvement priorities for DVA lived experience, peer and community support programs, enhancing outcomes for the workforce and community.
- Provide high quality lived experience leadership and practice advice, facilitating the development of practice and program policies, procedures, frameworks, quality standards and practice development artefacts, including training materials.
- Be responsible for coordinating project management activities, including the development of project documentation, maintenance of records, and reporting on project progress and outcomes. Maintain a balanced focus on quality and national consistency whilst ensuring good change management and project implementation at a regional level.
- Provide high quality secretariat support to advisory committees to ensure strong project governance.
- Provide support to contract management and procurement activities related to section-led and cross sectional projects and initiatives.
- Demonstrate a commitment to advancing the lived experience participation agenda and maintaining its integrity. Contribute to activities that build the lived experience leadership capability across the Lived Experience and Community Strategy Section and alignment with values, principles and practices of lived experience leadership and practice.
- Contribute to the development of advice, briefings, papers, submissions and correspondence for use in both internal and external decision-making forums.

**Eligibility**
- Applicants must be an Australian citizen to apply.
- Mental Health or Suicide Prevention Lived Experience Leadership experience and Peer Programs or Practice experience are the primary requirements for this role.

**Notes**

A merit pool will be established that may be used to fill similar positions within the next 18 months.
