The Mental and Social Health Programs Branch plays a critical role in the Division in ensuring Quality and Safety of all services, through embedding consumer and carer participation and lived experience across DVA, and additionally delivers a range of wellbeing-focused programs, community support services and innovation projects.
**Duties**
- Coordinate and facilitate lived experience governance activities supporting the development and implementation of a DVA Lived Experience Framework. Establish lived experience-led change management processes and activities.
- Be responsible for coordinating project management activities for the DVA Lived Experience Framework project, including the development of project documentation, maintenance of records, and reporting on project progress and outcomes.
- Provide high quality secretariat support to advisory committees to ensure strong project governance.
- Provide support to contract management and procurement activities related to section-led and cross sectional projects and initiatives.
- Demonstrate a commitment to advancing the lived experience participation agenda and maintaining its integrity. Contribute to activities that build the lived experience leadership capability across the Lived Experience and Community Strategy Section and alignment with values, principles and practices of lived experience leadership and practice.
- Contribute to the development of advice, briefings, papers, submissions and correspondence for use in both internal and external decision-making forums.
- Support an environment that encourages a willingness to adopt participative work place practices in line with policies of WHS, Workplace Diversity and the Australian Public Service values, Employment Principles and the APS Code of Conduct.
