The Assistant Director, Lived Experience works to the Director Lived Experience and Community Strategy. This position requires a senior professional to provide lived experience, change management, and program implementation leadership across relevant DVA Lived Experience Programs and through the development and implementation of a DVA Lived Experience Framework.

**Duties**
- Work from personal lived experience, and an applied lived experience framework, for the purposes of leading a lived experience program and practice improvement and development agenda, supporting practice quality and fidelity through the delivery of Lived Experience Programs, Practice, Workforce and Evaluation Frameworks.
- Manage consultative and co-design approaches, partnering with the lived experience workforce, and the wider community to enable systems change, including through the delivery of a DVA Lived Experience Framework
- Provide leadership of activities that strengthen the integration of lived experience across DVA, including through membership of key governance committees and advisory forums.
- Foster productive and collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders in order to achieve business objectives.
- Oversee and contribute to the development of advice, briefings, papers, submission and correspondence.
- Provide supervision, mentoring and coaching for direct reports to effectively manage performance and encourage professional growth.
- Support an environment that encourages a willingness to adopt participative work place practices in line with policies of WHS, Workplace Diversity and the Australian Public Service values, Employment Principles and the APS Code of Conduct
