About the role
The purpose of this position is to coordinate, facilitate and implement training and professional development activities for West Moreton Evolve Therapeutic Services and relevant government, non-government and private sector service providers. This will contribute to the ongoing development of a state-wide evidence-based, trauma informed model of service delivery to meet the mental health therapeutic needs of children and young people in the care of the Department of Child Safety Youth & Women with severe and complex psychological and behavioural problems and who are in Out-of-Home-Care. This position includes holding a clinical caseload.
About you
- Demonstrated knowledge, skills and expertise in the provision of mental health services to children, young people, and their families/carers with a sound knowledge of professional and clinical practice standards, evidence-based mental health service provision and the Mental Health Act 2016.
- Establish collaborative relationships with local and state-wide Queensland Health and external government, non-government, private and tertiary sector training providers that meet the professional development requirements of the West Moreton Evolve Therapeutic Services and its key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate and/or provide specialist training and professional development and adapt/modify practice as required in the area of child and youth mental health, for a range of government, non-government and private sector service providers (particularly pertaining to children and young people who have experienced child abuse and neglect).
- In consultation with the Team Leader coordinate the professional development program of West Moreton Evolve Therapeutic Services consistent with the principles and implementation of the developing model of service delivery.

**Mandatory Requirements**:

- Vaccinated against COVID-19 as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 12/21 and the Queensland Health Human Resources Policy B70.
